Separation of pantorhic networks that pass through the area of D.E.Th. and study of new dirt pipelines for the area’s regeneration needs

The project is part of the Agreement Framework for the provision of Technical Consultant support services for studies & projects of the Strategic & Operational Plan of EYATH SA

The subject of the contract is the provision of technical services with a framework agreement specific to projects and studies in the area of business activity of EYATH S.A., as and when required according to the needs of these projects and studies and of EYATH S.A. With these works, it is sought to address the needs of providing technical consultancy services in the fields of economic, architectural, static, electromechanical, hydraulic and chemical technical studies, as well as studies of IT systems, which will be presented during the preparation of studies and the construction of projects that will concern the implementation of the Strategic and Operational Plan (SOP) of EYATH S.A.

To date, it includes 4 separate contracts, each with a variety of projects and subject matter. It may include up to 15 sub-contracts. Indicative projects:

Sub-contract 3

The purpose of the study is the comprehensive treatment of the drainage problem of rainwater and sewage in the area of D.E.Th. Thessaloniki. On the occasion of the new planning of the regeneration of the International Exhibition and Conference Center of Thessaloniki (IECTH), but also in view of the protection of the city and the property of its citizens, the need arises to shift the network in combination with its resizing, according to the latest data of weather phenomena, as well as the separation of networks into rainy and sewage ones.

The aim of the specific project is to ensure the necessary infrastructure for the drainage of rainwater and urban sewage in the aforementioned area of the center of the city of Thessaloniki. It is a project that will contribute to increasing the standard of living of the residents of the area, while contributing, at the same time, to the protection of the environment.

The study consists of:

  • The preparation of the hydrological and hydraulic study for the calculation of the rainfall that ends up in the drainage channels of the study area. Full investigation of flow conditions in the stormwater network downstream of the city’s Ring Road.
  • The preliminary study of:

a. two new rain gutters to replace the existing ones

b. new sewage pipelines within the premises of D.E.Th.

c. crude pipelines to separate the crude supply upstream of the D.E.Th.

d. checking the adequacy of the rain gutter of the Palais de Sport

e. the adequacy control of downstream infrastructure/pipes that will receive the services of both the two new storm drains and the dirt pipes
